Our Story
Connecting Surfers with Their Perfect Moments
Founded by Cezar Pekelman, a passionate surfer and technology entrepreneur
The Vision
Surf Snaps was born from a simple observation. As an avid surfer, Cezar Pekelman noticed that beaches were often lined with photographers capturing amazing surf moments, but there was no easy way for surfers to find and purchase those images.
"I would see photographers on the beach taking hundreds of photos, and I'd always wonder if they caught any of my rides," says Cezar. "But there was no way to connect with them or find those photos later. I knew there had to be a better solution."
Bridging the Gap
Surf Snaps was created to solve problems for both sides of the beach photography experience:
For Surfers
- ✓ Easily find photos of your surf sessions
- ✓ Search by beach, date, and location
- ✓ Purchase high-quality images without watermarks
- ✓ Build a collection of your best surfing moments
For Photographers
- ✓ Turn your beach photography into income
- ✓ Upload and sell photos with minimal effort
- ✓ Build a following among local surf communities
- ✓ Focus on photography, not marketing or sales
Our Mission
At Surf Snaps, we believe that great moments deserve to be preserved. Our mission is two-fold:
"We want to help surfers preserve their most epic rides while creating sustainable income opportunities for talented beach photographers."
By connecting surfers with photographers through our platform, we're building a community that celebrates the joy and beauty of surf culture while supporting the creative professionals who document it.
Looking Forward
We're just getting started. Our vision extends beyond just connecting surfers with photographers - we aim to become the definitive platform for beach sports photography around the world.
Whether you're catching waves in California, bodysurfing in Brazil, or participating in a beach volleyball tournament in Australia, Surf Snaps wants to help you find and preserve those perfect moments.
