Hey Surf Snappers, let's catch up on the latest making waves in our US surf community! From a milestone celebration to a massive new development and some awe-inspiring performances, there's a lot to talk about.

First up, the big anniversary: Surf Expo is turning 50! That's right, the gathering place for our industry since 1976 is hitting half a century. This year, they're also spotlighting Shoreline Outdoor, a new category blending surf, coastal, and outdoor lifestyles. It's more than a trade show; it's a culture hub that's been connecting brands, retailers, and enthusiasts for decades. You can read all about the festivities and the new expansion over at Shop Eat Surf Outdoor.

Speaking of new developments, the City of Fellsmere in Florida is making a splash with a $30 million surf park project. This new spot will bring perfect waves to inland Florida, giving surfers and photographers a fresh playground. It's a big deal for the sport and the local economy, and we can't wait to see what it brings. Check out the renderings and plans right here.

And then there's the action in Oceanside, California. The ISA World Para Surfing Championships are underway, and Day 2 delivered some incredible performances in pumping four-to-six-foot surf. Standouts included Freddy Marimon (COL) with a near-perfect 9.90 and Dariel Melendez Davila (CRC) with a 9.33. These athletes are pushing the boundaries of what's possible on a board, and their dedication is truly inspiring. You can get the full breakdown from Carve Surfing Magazine.
