California’s desert got a splash of surf with the opening of Wavegarden’s new DSRT Surf pool in Coachella Valley. The facility pumps out more than 1,000 waves per hour and offers a menu of over 60 wave types, including a 'Twister' barrel and ramp sections perfect for aerial practice. New Zealand’s Red Beach Surf Club capped a stellar summer by clinching the Yamaha Club of the Year award at the Surf Life Saving Northern Region’s Awards of Excellence.
