A photographer uploads a session, the platform adds a watermark automatically, and on most gallery platforms, someone screenshots the preview, feeds it to an AI tool, and walks away with a clean copy for free within seconds. The test

Independent testing on typical watermark designs has found the opposite result, 324 attempts across four AI models with a 100 percent removal rate, because most watermarks are a single logo or text block sitting on top of the image, which gives an inpainting model a clean, isolated patch to reconstruct.
