Wavegarden Drops a Second U.S. Spot in the Desert
Wavegarden just opened DSRT Surf in Coachella Valley, its second American wave pool after the Virginia Beach location. The facility can crank out 1,000 waves per hour and offers more than 60 different wave types, including a barrel section that one tester called 'so long you can actually take a breath.' Sessions are expected to start around $60 an hour, making it a cheaper alternative to Palm Springs Surf Club. With the summer swell rolling in, state lifeguards are warning beachgoers about sneaker waves and strong rip currents along the coast.
